Certification Programmes: Service
Accreditation Levels

Each of SIMP’s certification programmes has four levels of accreditation:

Certified Associate

Certified Professional

Certified Educator

Certified Executive

​

To be eligible for any of SIMP certifications, you must meet the following academic and professional requirements:

Certified Associate Programme

Students and aspiring Professionals

Option 1

  1. At least Secondary Diploma or Equivalent; AND

  2. At least TWO (2) Years of Experience relevant to the field; AND,                              

  3. Must have earned the minimum required grade (70%) from the “SIMP Certification Assessment.”

 

Option 2

  1. At least Secondary Diploma or Equivalent; AND,

  2. At least EIGHTY (80) hours of formal education for the specific field of interest, in lieu of TWO (2) years of experience; AND,

  3. Must have earned the minimum required grade (70%) from the “SIMP Certification Assessment.”

Certified Professional Programme

Professionals with Work Experience

​Option 1

  1. At least Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in the related field; AND,

  2. At least FIVE (5) Years of Professional Experience relevant to the field; OR At least TEN (10) Years of Professional Experience relevant to the field, if your Bachelor’s Degree is not related to the field; AND,

  3. Must have earned the minimum required grade (70%) from the “SIMP Certification Assessment.”

Option 2

  1. At least Secondary Diploma or Equivalent; AND

  2. At least FIFTEEN (15) Years of Professional Experience relevant to the field; AND

  3. Must have earned the minimum required grade (70%) from the “SIMP Certification Assessment.”

Certified Educator Programme

Professionals/Academics
with Teaching Experience

​Option 1

  1. At least Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in the related field; AND,

  2. At least FIVE (5) Years of Teaching Experience relevant to the field; OR At least TEN (10) Years of Teaching Experience relevant to the field, if your Bachelor’s Degree is not related to the field; AND,

  3. Must have earned the minimum required grade (70%) from the “SIMP Certification Assessment.”

Option 2​

  1. At least Secondary Diploma or Equivalent; AND

  2. At least FIFTEEN (15) Years of Teaching Experience relevant to the field; AND

  3. Must have earned the minimum required grade (70%) from the “SIMP Certification Assessment.”

Professionals with
Managerial Experience

​Option 1

  1. At least Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in the related field; AND

  2. At least TEN (10) Years of Professional Experience relevant to the field with FIVE (5) years at a Senior Management level; OR At least FIFTEEN (15) Years of Professional Experience relevant to the field,with EIGHT (8) years at a Senior Management level if your Bachelor’s Degree is not related to the field; AND,

  3. Must have earned the minimum required grade (70%) from the “SIMP Certification Assessment.”

  4. Must have earned a minimum required grade of (70%) out of THREE (3) Independent & Confidential Case Graders

Option 2​

  1. At least Secondary Diploma or Equivalent; AND

  2. At least TWENTY (20) Years of Professional Experience relevant to the field, with TEN (10) years at a Senior Management level; AND

  3. Must have earned the minimum required grade (70%) from the “SIMP Certification Assessment.”

  4. Must have earned a minimum required grade of (70%) out of THREE (3) Independent & Confidential Case Graders
